Most celebrities have a moment or two they wish hadn’t happened in public. For Christian Bale, it was his 2008 rant on the set of “Terminator: Salvation.” The four-minute, expletive-ridden tirade was directed at director of photography Shane Hurlbut, who had accidentally interrupted a scene during filming at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. TMZ.com obtained a copy of the audio and it went viral. Bale yells at Hurlbut, asking him, “Am I gonna f***ing rip your lights down in the middle of the scene, Then why the f***are you walking right through, ‘Duh-duh-duh-duh-duh,’ in the background. What the f*** is it with you, What the f*** don’t you understand, I’m gonna, do you want me to go and trash your lights, Do you want me to go and trash them, Then why are you trashing my scene, I’m not trying to trash your…You are trashing my scene. You do it one more f***ing time and I ain’t walking on the set if you’re still hired. I’m serious. I’m f***ing serious. You’re a nice guy, you’re a nice guy, but that won’t f***ing count when you’re bulls*****ing and f***ing around like this on set. Seriously, you and me man, we’re f***ing done professionally.”
Bale later apologised for losing his temper, during a phone call to a Los Angeles radio show, which had been making fun of him and his outburst. “I was out of order beyond belief,” Bale said, “I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that.”
