Gran Paradiso National Park

One of the most interesting places families should visit is the Gran Paradiso National Park, the best known and oldest national park in Italy. Geographically, the park is part of the Graian Alps in the areas of Valle d’Aosta and Piemonte. The park can easily be accessed through high-speed motorways connected to Switzerland and France. There are restaurants and hotels close to the border of the park. Casual visitors and families choose the park’s northern portion because of the spectacular views, higher mountains, and a lot of picnic areas and hotels. They can view the grazing chamois and ibex located in the Gran Piano di Noasca. The visitors might spy on the nesting golden eagles and view rare alpine flowers, mostly seen only in Val di Cogne’s botanical garden. They can also stay in mountain huts, refuges, and campgrounds both in winter and summer. The other animal species found in this park include the hare, weasel, Eurasian badger, and ermine. Winter is the most suitable period for cross-country skiers. The park has three very popular valleys: Val di Rhemes, Valsavarenche, and Cogne. The National Park alone offers a few kilometres of prepared paths and will hopefully stimulate walking appetites. The visitors can take a trip and take pleasure in the alluring magic of this park. All through this alpine area, the visitors will discover beautiful fauna and flora and have a chance to see the glaciers. The whole family will surely enjoy visiting this marvellous park.
