Drug misuse

Drugs have been around our life, being prescribed by doctors for coming out of an improper physical condition. Some of the drugs have an intoxicating effect in them and due to that, people go on consuming them for pleasure sometime knowingly and sometimes unknowingly about the after effects. They get into a condition where they are addicted to the drugs and that would mean they are dependent on it for their daily living. It has been seen that overuse of those drugs make one physically and mentally weak and dependent on those. The patients see withdrawal symptoms when they stop taking those and that’s the physical dependency part, where the body reacts the absence of those drugs in the blood. Psychological effects make one feel lonely and as if something has been missing from their life, since the drugs become major part of their lives. The patients start feeling a drool to take those and also feel that either they may die or may not be able to leave the drug so that desire becomes even sharper. The drugs can take over the body since with time, the body becomes resistant to it and due to this, the patients gets more amounts of those drugs to feel the kick. The word “drug misuse” is termed after the usage of those drugs which have been recommended only after the prescription of the doctor and the patients continue to use those for their addiction. The drugs can also be extremely dangerous if not taken care since they can be quite a strong dosage in themselves. Some of the drugs which are wrongly used would be gases, solvents, tobacco, alcohol and also some of the illegal drugs which were banned to be sold out but continue to do so. Also when they termed illegal, it could mean that either those were banned to be used in the country, or they cannot be sold over the counter and have to have a prescription for the recommendation. The government has put up classes around those drugs and termed them as class A, B and C. Some of the C class drugs would be less harmful to the health and are benzodiazepines, methaqualone, cannabis. The class B would be dangerous ones if taken in heavy dosage and some examples would be Ritalin, barbiturates. The class A are considered to be high on risk and any heavy dosage can lead to death. Some common examples are STP, poppy straw, morphine, dicanol, cocaine.
