This is a great movie that’s actually heartwarming. Skeeter Bronson, who is played by Adam Sandler, is basically a down on his luck kind of guy. He’s a very nice guy, though, who keeps close to his family. He’s always telling his nieces and nephews great bedtime stories. He weaves elaborate plots with all kinds of twists and turns, and the kids just love them. His own life becomes turned upside down however, when one of his elaborate bedtime stories suddenly becomes real. Soon thereafter he realizes that whatever he imagines, whatever kind of story he concocts, he has the ability to see it become reality.
This movie is about how young Skeeter deals with the fact that all of the crazy characters he has built into his stories for his nieces and nephews have all of a sudden become real in his own life. They’ve actually morphed into real people and their situations and the events in which they find themselves have become a part of Skeeter’s own reality.
This is a story about how he deals with such amazing power. Just imagine what you could do if whatever you imagined could turn out real! You could imagine any type of scenario, such as winning the lottery, and have it become the fabric of your life’s very reality.
Of course, Skeeter handles his newfound power with grace and he handles his most unruly fantasies in a way befitting a man of good conscious. This is truly a movie that will warm your heart, just as it did mine.
