‘Colour of Night’

‘Colour of Night’ hit theatres during the summer of 1994. The movie did not experience success at the box office, but it did achieve success when it was released on video shortly afterwards. ‘Colour of Night’ was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1995 for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture. It won the Razzie Award during that same year for Worst Picture.

The movie stars Bruce Willis as Dr. Bill Capa, and Jane March as Rose. It is a psychological thriller that is packed full of sexual encounters. The story starts when Capa, a psychologist, has a patient that commits suicide. The event is particularly traumatic for Capa, and causes him to suddenly become colour blind.

Eventually Capa takes over the therapy group for a friend who had been recently murdered. Police think that one of the group members is likely the murder suspect. During this process, Capa becomes involved with March. All of the patients in his therapy group also have some type of connection to March as well. The relationship between Capa and March quickly develops into a central point of the movie.

The movie reveals the interesting lives of each of the five members of the therapy group. All of them have a decent amount of issues to make them interesting characters to watch. Some will find the movie to be somewhat transparent and very predictable. It is often thought of as a movie that one loves to hate.
