Find me Guilty (2006)

‘Find Me Guilty’ is a dramatic movie based on the longest mob trial in the history of the United States. Vin Diesel portrays Giacomo Jackie DiNorscio, the focus of the film. While on probation from a thirty years prison sentence, Jackie Dee is shot by his cousin and is again arrested for dealing drugs.
Played by Linus Roache, Sean Kierney, the District attorney’s prosecutor, who is raising an enormous case against a New Jersey mob family, offers Jackie Dee a deal to turn states evidence and testifying against the Lucchese family, but “Jackie Dee don’t rat on nobody”. Since he won’t turn on his friends he finds a courtroom seat next to the other mobsters.  
After Jackie Dee fires his attorney, who lost his previous case, he chooses to defend himself and Judge Finestein, played by Ron Silver, reluctantly accepts the self-representation. Mob boss, Nick Calabrese (Alex Rocco) doesn’t like this fact any more then the judge and wants Jackie Dee to have council. This is when the film genre changes more towards comedy.
Jackie seemingly continues upsetting the judge and all the other lawyers, including the lead defence attorney, Ben Klandis, played by Peter Dinklage, who ends up giving some legal tips to Jackie. Eventually, by using his witty charisma, Dee wins over the judge and jury, rendering a not guilty verdict. Jackie DiNorsico shows his loyalty during his testimony with moments of heartfelt emotion, which were taken from actual trial transcripts.
