Situated near Ashdown Forest, the Buxted Park Country House Hotel is a Georgian mansion built in 1722. Set in 312 acres, it boasts three lakes, a deer park and a walled garden within its grounds. The hotel offers 44 rooms ranging from classic rooms to luxury suites, all with flat screen TV and free broadband internet access.
The hotel’s restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes for its quality, and for those planning a wedding there is a wide choice of dishes available for the wedding breakfast, including vegetarian and children’s options. Options for the evening reception include a buffet or barbecue.
Civil ceremonies can be held in the Library or the Orangery, accommodating up to 110 guests. Wedding breakfasts can be hosted in a selection of function rooms for up to 120 people. Larger celebrations can be held in a marquee catering for up to 900 guests.
The hotel offers a variety of wedding packages, some of the items included are exclusive use of the hotel if required, reduced accommodation rates for guests and a toastmaster and suite for the bride and groom on their wedding night. Children can be entertained in pre-arranged playroom or at the hotel’s on-site cinema.
Buxted Park has a team of wedding co-ordinators to assist with arranging every detail of the day; they can take care of items such as floral arrangements for the tables, table linen, personalised menus and place cards, evening entertainment, firework displays and even arrival by hot air balloon if required.
