Castle Hotel is located in the town centre and has a long history dating back to the 16th century, when it served as a coaching inn in the heart of Neath. The town has had a number of famous residents in its time, including Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton and Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. It is also well known for being the birthplace of Welsh rugby union.
Castle Hotel is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships and has 29 guest bedrooms that are decorated in a simple, but tasteful manner and equipped will all mod cons. The Bridal Suite comes complete with a classic four-poster bed and is elegantly furnished to a standard that is sure to provide the perfect start to married life.
There is a large function room, capable of accommodating up to 120 people, which is ideal for the wedding dinner, reception and party. The staff can provide a full wedding menu or simple buffet for the evening and the room comes complete with its own private bar.
The town is surrounded by lovely scenery for your guests to explore, should they have an extended stay and Swansea is only a 20minute drive away, with its many interesting features and places to visit.
Neath is situated 10miles outside of Swansea, just off the M4 motorway at junction 43, then follow the A465 ‘Heads of the Valleys’ road. The main South Wales railway link between Swansea and London Paddington also stops at Neath. The Castle Hotel it is only a 5minute walk from the station.
