An Edwardian mansion set in 1,000 acres of beautiful parkland; the De Vere Slaley Hall is situated close to the town of Hexham. It offers a range of accommodation; from classic rooms to self-contained lodges all equipped with satellite TV and Internet access.
The hotel has extensive leisure facilities, which include a spa and two championship golf courses. Guests can take lessons at the golf academy and make use of the practice areas. Facilities at the spa include a swimming pool, gym, fitness classes and sauna and steam room. Health and beauty treatments are also available.
Slaley Hall has three restaurants to choose from, all offering classic British fare with a local flavour and private dining can be arranged if required. As part of wedding preparations, couples are able to attend a complimentary menu tasting if choosing one of the hotel’s wedding packages. Catering is available for wedding breakfasts of up to 288 guests.
The hotel will only host one wedding per day, ensuring that couples have the undivided attention of the wedding co-ordination team. Prior to the day, regular meetings are held to cover every detail of the occasion. The hotel is able to arrange such details as a toastmaster, seating plans and menu cards, room and table decorations and reduced accommodation rates for guests.
Wedding packages can include such items as a red carpet, arrival drinks, wine with the wedding breakfast, canapés and a complimentary room or suite for the bride and groom on their wedding night.
