Dormy House is a privately owned four-star hotel situated in the Cotswolds. Dating from the seventeenth century it offers 44 rooms, ranging from the Deluxe Double to the Penthouse Suite. All have a flat screen TV, broadband access and satellite TV.
A wedding co-ordinator is on hand to assist with planning and the hotel has several packages to meet most budgets and tastes. The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients and couples are invited to a complimentary menu tasting when they have chosen their package. The chefs are able to tailor the menus to suit almost any personal requirements.
The hotel can cater for ceremonies and receptions of up to 150 guests, with a range of rooms available, depending on the size of the wedding. The Dormy House Hotel can also offer a bespoke wedding weekend, arranging a ‘house party’ based around the celebrations and organising themed activities locally. Receptions end at midnight, but there is a resident’s bar open later for guests staying at the hotel.
Exclusive use of the hotel is available and it can provide a Master of Ceremonies for the wedding breakfast. The resident DJ is on hand to provide music for evening receptions, though the staff will also be happy to arrange alternative forms of entertainment, anything from a casino to a caricaturist being available. The bride and groom will have a complimentary suite for their wedding night, while guests can take advantage of discounted accommodation rates.
