The Horsted Place Hotel is a gothic-style house situated in the village of Little Horsted and dates back to 1850. Set in 1,100 acres, the house was regularly visited by HM Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip when it was a family home. The 17 rooms and suites are all individually decorated and have 24hour room service. They all have satellite TV and views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.
The hotel is close to East Sussex National Golf Course and there are reduced rates for guests, who have access to the Health Club, which is located in the grounds of the hotel. The tennis courts and croquet lawn in the gardens are also available, weather permitting.
The restaurant has earned two AA rosettes and is run by an award-winning chef who has created a menu based on local produce. For couples arranging a wedding a wide range of dishes are available to choose from for a wedding breakfast or a buffet.
Wedding ceremonies can be held in the Library, for up to 50 guests, the Terrace Room, for up to 100 guests or alternatively alfresco weddings can be held in the Summerhouse, weather permitting. Horsted Place can be hired on an exclusive use basis, which includes all rooms and the three self-contained cottages in the grounds. The hotel has a dedicated wedding co-ordinator to assist with planning the celebrations and an in-house florist, if required.
