Ickworth is a large manor house set in 1800 acres of parkland, close to Bury St. Edmunds, run by the National Trust. There are 27 rooms available ranging from standard doubles to suites, with 21 of these being furnished in the traditional style and six contemporary style rooms. The Dower House has been converted into 11 apartments and is set in its own gardens. The hotel focuses on family and provides extra beds or cots and baby equipment.
The Aquae Sulis Spa has its own product range and offers treatments to suit everyone, including treatments specifically designed for men.
Frederick’s Restaurant uses fresh local produce to create a seasonal menu of traditional European cuisine and rooms are available for private dining. For special occasions, such as weddings, there are a variety of menus available to suit all tastes
The hotel offers various wedding packages which include items such as arrival drinks, personalised menu and hand written name cards, table plan and table linen. The three course wedding breakfast is included but extra courses such as a sorbet or fish course can be added if required. Bespoke wedding packages can be compiled for celebrations of under 20 people or for those who do not require one of the standard packages.
Ickworth is part of the Von Essen group of hotels and couples are able to take advantage of their fleet of private jets and helicopters or a chauffeur driven luxury car for arrivals and departures.
