The Lake Country House is an award winning hotel. It is a mock Tudor countryside retreat that is located in the picturesque Powys landscape of Mid Wales not far from Builth Wells. It is housed in a sprawling 50 acre estate with lusciously tended garden and grounds in which to wander and have your wedding photographs taken, leaving you with cherished memories of the day.
The Lake Country House is a certified venue for hosting marriage and civil wedding ceremonies; for your celebratory reception there is the restaurant which can cater for 90 diners. A party of fifty can comfortably use the drawing room or a luxurious marquee can be erected on the crochet lawn, which can hold 150 people.
There are 30 classically decorated bedrooms with traditional fabrics and refined furnishings; all rooms contain en-suite bathrooms. The lodge has a further 12 suites with their own lounges. The hotel also has its own health and leisure spa for guests to enjoy. Opened in 2006 this facility includes a 15m swimming pool, gym and spa to pamper you. The kitchen at The Lake has been awarded two AA rosettes and the Restaurant of the Year prize in 2005 and will produce an excellent wedding day feast to meet your requirements.
You can drive to The Lake Country House on either the A44 from the Midlands or along the A479 if you are coming from the south of the M4. The hotel is not far from Builth Wells on the A483.
