The Linthwaite House Hotel is an award-winning establishment set in 14 acres with views of Lake Windermere. Its 32 rooms are equipped with TVs, DVD players, CD players and wireless internet access. Rooms range from standard doubles to the Loft Suite and facilities are available for the mobility impaired. Guests can make use of the leisure facilities in the area, which include cycling, golf and fishing.
The restaurant serves modern British fare created from fresh local ingredients. For those planning a wedding, there is a variety of menus available, which include vegetarian options and children’s menus. Special dietary requirements can be catered for and there is a range of buffets for an evening reception. A barbecue can be hosted as an alternative to formal dining.
The hotel has a dedicated wedding co-ordinator on hand to assist with the organisation of the day. The hotel is suited to smaller gatherings and can accommodate celebrations for up to 56 guests. The hotel is available on a two-night exclusive use basis allowing the couple and their guests to have the house and grounds to themselves.
There are several drinks packages available and guests can enjoy a drinks reception on the terrace prior to the meal. For a garden party style wedding it can be arranged for guests to play croquet on the lawn and the gardens are an ideal backdrop for the wedding photographs.
