The Oxwich Bay Hotel is a converted old school house at the end of the Gower Peninsula, south west of Swansea, The hotel is set in its own eight acre private garden, with views over the golden sandy bay across the Severn to Somerset. Many of the hotels rooms enjoy lovely panoramic views over the two miles of Oxwich Beach.
Fully licensed to hold marriages and civil ceremonies, The Oxwich Bay Hotel has an attractive series of banqueting rooms to suit any taste. For small personal gatherings the Garden Room is ideal, while the Banqueting Suite with its overhead glass dome showering the room in natural light, can support a larger party. Both rooms lead onto a private wedding garden where you can also use the smart outdoor marquee complete with facilities and bar.
The Oxwich should be able to accommodate the majority of your guests but should you require additional rooms there are a number of hotels and guesthouses locally as the Gower is a well provisioned tourist spot. Should your guests need entertaining, Swansea is only 20 minutes drive away and the city centre is within easy reach, however there are also many local points of interest along this stretch of coastline.
To reach the hotel you turn off the M4 motorway at Swansea, heading through the town and onwards towards the Gower. The South Wales railway line links with London Paddington and the South West, while the Midlands line stops at Swansea Central and from there you could easily reach Oxwich by taxi. Cardiff Wales International Airport is only some 60 minutes away.
