The Park Inn Thurrock is a Georgian manor house set in six acres of grounds. The estate dates back to the fourteenth century and it was formerly known as Stifford Lodge. It offers 97 rooms all equipped with satellite TV and facilities are available for the mobility impaired. Guests are able to make use of the tennis court and croquet lawn in the grounds.
The Regency restaurant gives guests the opportunity to dine alfresco on the terrace in finer weather and offers a range of menus for those planning a wedding or other event. Menus can be customised to suit individual tastes.
The hotel has a dedicated events team for planning weddings and other celebrations and is ready to organise many aspects of the day. Ceremonies can be held for up to 110 guests and the hotel is able to cater for up to 115 people for a wedding breakfast and for up to 180 for an evening reception, with three banqueting suites to choose from depending on the size of the party. Marquees can also be hired, if required, for larger parties of up to 300 guests.
Wedding packages available can include such items as a red carpet welcome, complimentary wedding night accommodation for the bride and groom, discounted accommodation rates for guests, complimentary meal for two on the first anniversary and the services of a toastmaster. A directory of recommended external wedding services is available and discounts can be offered for weddings held at certain times of the year.
