Sketty Hall has a long and prestigious history stretching back to 1780. This beautifully preserved Georgian Mansion set in its own superb grounds has been returned to its original condition and now makes an excellent wedding venue.
Fully licensed for conducting wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships, this elegant building with its ornamental gardens and great view of Swansea bay will leave you with fond memories of your special day. Ceremonies are normally held in the Dylan Thomas suite, which has sufficient room for the couple and 60 guests and then you and your party can retire to the adjacent Patti Restaurant for your wedding reception. This can then be converted to a party venue accommodating 150 people in the evening.
Located within minutes of Swansea city centre, there are many luxurious hotels, simple B&Bs and seafront guesthouses in which your guests can stay. The town centre provides an interesting place to visit while you prepare the main event or your guests can take a trip into the countryside and explore the Gower peninsula or the Neath valley, both having lovely views and sites of interest.
Finding your way to the venue isn’t hard; Sketty Hall is a simple drive from junction 42 of the M4 motorway, straight into Swansea town centre. The hall is on the other side of town along the seafront. Travelling by rail is equally as easy as Swansea central station is only five minutes from the hotel and Cardiff Wales International Airport is only 40 miles away.
