The South Lodge Hotel was built in 1883 and is set in 93 acres of parkland close to the town of Horsham. This five star hotel offers 89 rooms which include five bridal suites. All rooms have excellent views and guests can choose their own level of comfort with the pillow menu. On-site leisure facilities include clay pigeon shooting, archery and tennis.
The Pass restaurant has been awarded three AA rosettes for the quality of its food and service. The menu of traditional dishes changes daily and the banqueting menus offered for wedding breakfasts and other functions also consist of traditional fare. The hotel is able to cater for any special dietary requirements and vegetarian options are available.
For those planning a wedding, the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator is able to assist with arranging all the details of the day. There are a range of suites and function rooms for both the ceremony and the following celebrations and the hire of certain function rooms will also include the services of a toastmaster. A directory of recommended external wedding services can be provided if needed.
Wedding days can be tailored to suit individual requirements though there are some packages available which can include items such as wedding night accommodation for the bride and groom. Guests can take advantage of special rates for accommodation and couples can tailor their menus to suit, adding extra courses such as sorbet.
