The Angel Hotel is a former coaching inn in Bury St Edmonds. This award winning hotel is now a four star establishment which offers 75 rooms which range from standard to prestige rooms, some with four poster beds and some with views of the cathedral. Most of the rooms have air conditioning and are a mix of contemporary and traditional styles.
The hotel’s restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes and around eighty per cent of the produce used is locally sourced. There are a wide variety of dishes to choose from when planning a wedding and other event, with vegetarian options and other special dietary requirements catered for. The wedding package allows for a three course wedding breakfast but a sorbet or cheese course can also be provided.
A member of the management team will co-ordinate all the details of the wedding day and the hotel offers a wedding package which includes arrival drinks, wine with the wedding breakfast and sparkling wine or champagne for the toast, a three course seated meal followed by coffee and chocolates with the wedding breakfast held in an air conditioned function room.
The hotel can accommodate 70 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and evening receptions for up to 80 people can be held in the Edmund Suite, which has a dance floor if required. Elegant glass vases for your floral arrangements can be provided by the hotel and the hotel can recommend other external wedding services such as a florist or photographer if needed.
