The Barns Hotel is a four star establishment situated in the town of Bedford. Set in 3½acres of landscaped gardens it sits on the banks of the River Ouse. The hotel boasts 49 rooms, which range from standard doubles to suites, all of which are equipped with TVs and Internet access. One of the suites has a four-poster bed and there are facilities available for the mobility impaired.
The restaurant has views of the river and for couples planning a wedding a variety of dishes is available to choose from for the wedding breakfast. Additional courses, such as a fish or sorbet are available and separate children’s menus are also an option.
The Barns has a thirteenth century Tithe Barn for functions, which can accommodate up to 90 people for wedding ceremonies or wedding breakfasts and up to 120 for evening receptions. A range of function suites is also available for smaller celebrations.
The hotel has a wedding planner who can assist with arranging the details of the day to suit your individual requirements. An all-inclusive wedding package is available, which covers both the wedding breakfast and the evening reception and the cost of the resident DJ. You should be aware that minimum guest numbers apply for the wedding packages.
Other items that are available as part of a typical package include arrival drinks, wine with the wedding breakfast and a drink for the toast, table linen, toastmaster, reduced accommodation rates for guests, wedding night accommodation for the bride and groom and a complimentary first anniversary meal for two.
