The Chainbridge Hotel and its historic bridge are sandwiched between the foaming waters of the River Dee with its leaping salmon, and the famous Llangollen canal. This is a tranquil, rural location, with the river and canal nearby and the Horseshoe Falls on the doorstep. A more romantic North Welsh setting is hard to imagine.
The recently refurbished Chainbridge Hotel contains a luxurious banqueting room perched above the River Dee and capable of supporting 120 guests. There are 36 en-suite bedrooms, many with balconies overlooking the river or the canal. There are also a number of excellent local hotels within Llangollen should you need extra accommodation and you may use leisure and spa facilities at the Wild Pheasant Hotel in Llangollen.
The hotel holds a marriage license allowing weddings and civil partnerships to take place on the premises and it is able to suggest a number of local companies for providing additional services, flowers, car hire, and stationery. The award-winning kitchen will create a delicious wedding menu from several predetermined options for wedding breakfast, celebratory meal or evening buffet. Should guests elect to stay for a longer period there is lots to occupy them as Llangollen is down the road with its stream railway, castle, abbey and canal.
The hotel is located not far from the A5 in the village of Berwyn, which is northwest of Llangollen. Guests arriving by train should get off at Chirk railway station, six miles down the road.
