The Wynnstay Hotel is a four-star, privately owned hotel, situated in the historic market town of Oswestry. This Georgian building is a former coaching inn and offers 34 rooms, ranging from classic to suites, each with digital TV and Internet access.
The hotel has recently converted its coach-house into a health and fitness centre and the facilities, which are available to hotel guests, include a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and several treatment rooms.
The Four Seasons restaurant has an AA two-rosette award and offers a mix of traditional and more creative dishes. For couples planning their wedding, there are a wide variety of menus to choose from, both for the wedding breakfast and evening buffet. The Paddock Suite is air-conditioned and can accommodate up to 200 guests.
Consultation with the event co-ordinating staff is included in the services provided by the hotel and wedding packages cover items such as red carpet, Master of Ceremonies and complimentary meal for two on the first anniversary. Couples are able to tailor wedding packages to suit their individual requirements. For weddings with a minimum of 50 guests at the wedding breakfast, the hotel will provide complimentary accommodation for the bride and groom on their wedding night and guests can take advantage of reduced accommodation rates.
The walled garden is colourful during the summer months and provides a pretty backdrop for wedding photographs. A directory of local suppliers is available if required.
