When choosing bridal shoes for your big day the obvious choice is high heels –but you should wear what you feel comfortable in. As well as looking fabulous on your big day, you also want to be comfortable in what you are wearing. In some cases, such as a beach wedding, it is inappropriate to wear high heeled shoes.
Getting married is probably the most stressful day for women as they have dreamt about it for so long – wishing perfection and overall being a fairytale affair. This is why the choice of shoes is very important, as the last thing any bride wants is to trip and fall while walking down the aisle. Wearing high heels does not necessarily make a bride look or feel any sexier and more elegant than wearing flat shoes. With the right dress, flat shoes can look just as good as high heels.
When choosing your bridal shoes you need to remember that for most of the day you will be on your feet so comfort is priority. The shoes need to be comfortable beyond the ceremony – meeting and greeting guests, dancing, having pictures taken. One suggestion is to have two pairs of shoes – one high and one flat in the same style and colour. This way you can wear the higher shoes for the ceremony then the flats for the rest of your day, so you are comfortable throughout.
Whatever you decide, be it flats or high-heeled shoes or both, comfort is paramount. After all it is your big day and you want to be able to walk with ease, as well as looking elegant and beautiful.
