The Allt-yr-Ynys Hotel is a manor house dating back to the sixteenth century and is located very close to the Welsh border. Set in 16 acres of landscaped gardens it offers 21 rooms, many with period features and one is a four-poster suite. Guests can take part in many leisure pursuits with a swimming pool and sauna on-site along with clay pigeon shooting. Other outdoor activities from various locations are available nearby.
The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients to create its dishes and for those planning a wedding there is a wide range of traditional dishes to choose from when creating a menu. For an evening reception there are several buffet menus, along with alternatives such as fish and chips, cheese platters and soups.
The hotel can cater for celebrations of up to 250 people and hotel staff can organise many aspects of the day. For entertainment at the evening reception a disco can be arranged or live music ranging from a band to a string quartet. Floral arrangements for table and room displays can be ordered by the hotel to your own individual requirements. Minimum guest numbers may apply for an evening reception.
Several drinks packages are on offer that cover arrival drinks, wine with the wedding breakfast and sparkling wine or champagne with the toast. Standard table and chair hire is included, but couples requiring a different look for their function room may hire alternative styles through the hotel.
