The highest class or the most important in the colony is the Queen bee. This is because the regeneration of their clan depends on the Queen bee as she is the only female in the colony capable of reproduction. The second group of the clan is the female workers with an average number of 30,000 to 50,000. The last group is the male drones. The male drone’s population in a certain colony ranges from thousands during spring and only few during summer or winter.
In addition, remember that the Queen bee will only live for three years so better take care of her well. To lessen your job, ask help from bee workers and drones; it’s their job. You can expect the Queen to give you half a million eggs in her lifetime.
