While it is becoming less common to connect with people on a phone that isn’t their cell phone, there are still a huge number of individuals who rely on a home phone for much – if not all – of their telephone correspondence.

Or, perhaps even more likely to today’s world, you have found someone’s cell phone and want to get a hold of them to return it to them.
Whatever the case may be, the best ways to find someone’s landline number are to ask or search for it.
The quickest way to find someone’s number is to ask them for it directly! Don’t wait until it’s too late if you think there’s a chance you might want to continue corresponding with someone. However, if you’ve passed the point of being able to simply ask the person for their contact information, you can turn to a friend.
Getting in touch with a mutual friend or acquaintance that can provide you with the information would be the next-best thing to asking the person for their number directly. You can shoot them a text message or give them a call and grab the number right away.
Another way to find someone’s landline number is to do a search online. There are various websites of varying legitimacy that serve as online phone books of sorts, and you may be able to locate the person’s number using one of these. There is also a small chance that you will find that they’ve posted their number online somewhere – this would be more likely if they are a small business owner and use a home phone as their business phone.
Using an email address or social media network like Facebook or LinkedIn is another way to try to reach out to the person directly so that you can, hopefully, obtain their number quickly and get to chatting!
If all else fails, you could stop by a local convenience store, gas station, or other business that may have a phone book handy, and see if you can find the correct phone number that way.
