Boxmoor Lodge is a privately owned hotel situated in Hemel Hempstead, in the Chiltern countryside. Parts of the hotel date back to the early seventeenth century and the Lodge was originally built as the gatehouse to Boxmoor House. The hotel is now popular with golfing enthusiasts, as there are several top rated golf courses nearby.
The newly extended building offers 25 en-suite rooms and suites, all with satellite TV and wireless Internet and two have four-poster beds. There is a room service menu and laundry service, while facilities are also available for mobility-impaired guests.
There is a dedicated wedding planning team on hand to help to arrange menus, drinks, floral arrangements, wedding stationery, transportation and entertainment. Reduced rates are available for Sunday and weekday weddings, while exclusive use of the hotel is available as part of an all-inclusive package.
The award winning Conservatory Restaurant uses fresh seasonal produce to create a menu of traditional English dishes and can cater for up to 64 guests. The hotel’s marquee can hold 120 guests for the wedding breakfast and 150 for an evening reception. The restaurant can put together individually designed menus and buffets for a wedding celebration and catering options range from barbecues to banquets. The wedding cake can be provided by the hotel, as well as personal touches, such as ice sculptures and chocolate fountains.
The marquee is set in an enclosed area, so is safe for children, while the hotel’s landscaped grounds are perfect for wedding photographs.
