Bully Kutta – Dog Breed Information and Pictures

The Bully Kutta originated in Pakistan. It is thought that the Bully Kutta dates back to the times of Alexander the Great. The Bully (which is derived from the Urdu word bohli, meaning wrinkled) is also commonly referred to as a Pakistani Mastiff. Several dogs went in to making this breed, such as the English Bull Terrier, English Mastiffs, Pointers and British hunting canines.

This breed is a molosser type of dog and as such is a very large and powerful canine with well-developed guarding instincts. The physical form of this breed displays its powerful and muscular nature. They have a long, strong back with a tail tapers to a point. The thick boned Bully Kutta has defined muscles and a sturdy physique. This large breed can weigh more than two hundred pounds (90 kg).

The Bully Kutta has a shorthaired coat that is smooth to the touch. Typically, it is white in colour but other colours have been known to emerge such as fawn, red, brindle, and black. Patterns and spots can vary. The muzzle tends to be black. The skin is generally loose which allows wrinkles to be noticed around the neck and face.

The Bully Kutta is a fearless dog willing to do what ever is asked of them. There is a warning with them for all willing to own this breed: they are very aggressive. The Bully has been referred to as “the beast from the east” because of its aggressive nature. It is extremely important to know that this breed does not do well around children or other animals. They are a strong dog that needs a strong and confident (Alfa) owner to show them a lot of attention and provide them strict training. The highly protective Bully Kutta is an excellent guardian.
