Situated at Kendal on the edge of the Lake District, the Castle Green Hotel lies in 14 acres of gardens and parkland. It offers 100 rooms, which range from standard rooms to family rooms and all are equipped with satellite TV. The hotel has a room service menu and guests have access to the on-site health and fitness club where the facilities include two gyms, a swimming pool, steam room and a range of aromatherapy treatments.
The Greenhouse Restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes for the quality of its food and service. The menu consists of dishes of modern British fare created using fresh local produce. There are a range of dishes to choose from for a wedding breakfast or buffet.
There are several function suites to choose from when planning a wedding or other event and the hotel has a dedicated wedding co-ordinator to assist with all the arrangements. Included in the hotel’s wedding package are items such as the services of a pianist, a red carpet, table linen, wedding night accommodation for the bride and groom and floral arrangements for the tables. Guests can take advantage of reduced accommodation rates.
Optional extras, which can be organised, include alternative music such as a harpist or string quartet, chair covers or a flower package. For an evening reception couples may book the resident DJ or for alternative entertainment the staff can arrange for a caricaturist or a magician.
