This privately owned hotel is situated in three acres of tranquil woodland and open countryside close to the city of Nottingham. Dating back to the seventeenth century the hotel has 11 rooms, including a four-poster bridal suite, which are individually decorated. All rooms have a Jacuzzi, TV, CD player and complimentary chocolates.
The restaurant has a four star AA rating and specialises in modern European cuisine making use of local seasonal produce. Varied menus for wedding breakfasts and evening buffets are available, with packages covering a range of tastes and budgets and arrangements can be made for special dietary requirements.
The hotel can accommodate up to 50 guests, while larger receptions of up to 150 can be accommodated in a marquee erected in the grounds. The marquees are set up individually for each event and decorated to your own requirements, with chair covers and sashes in a colour of your choice. A complimentary embroidered sash is also included for the bride and groom. The hotel gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for the wedding photographs.
Cockliffe Country House has a wedding co-ordinator who will be happy to assist with the planning of all details and who can make recommendations on florists, photographers and other aspects of the day. The hotel offers a discount for ceremonies held between Mondays and Thursdays. Exclusive use of the hotel is available and for those wishing to arrive in style, a helicopter landing facility is available.
