Craig y Nos Castle

Pen-y-cae, Swansea Valley

Craig-y- Nos is perhaps best known as being the former home of nineteenth century opera diva, Madam Adelina Patti. You too can make use of this remarkable venue for a signature wedding all of your own. Whether you are looking for a simple traditional affair or a medieval banqueting extravaganza, Craig-y-Nos can cater for it.

Located in the middle of the Brecon National Park, you will have complete solitude and peace for your wedding day. The castle has its own private opulently decorated theatre, complete with a stage on which you can hold your reception. Craig-y-Nos also has a professional wedding planning team that will be able to assist in organising the finer points of your special day.

The castle has extensive rooms and dormitories for accommodating your guests and a number of function rooms in which to hold the ceremony and reception. In addition, you have the bonus of the Brecon Beacons to provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding day photographs. There is also a fully functioning kitchen, where the chef will be happy to discuss menu options with you.

This venue is able to provide a number of specialist additions to make your wedding unique; you could choose to arrive in a limousine, order champagne or chocolate fountains and stage a costumed banquet with live performers or magicians for the evening. Craig-y-Nos is open to your imagination.

Craig-y-Nos is situated along the A4067, north of Swansea, 16miles off junction 45 of the M4 motorway. The main South Wales railway line stops at Swansea and Neath and from there you would need to organise your own transport.
