Location: Caerleon, Gwent
A beautiful, traditional manor house set in 20 acres of landscaped gardens amid the Gwent countryside. Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel is fully licensed to host weddings ceremonies and civil partnerships within the surroundings of its ancient walls. The history of the manor house stretches back to the sixteenth century and it is said that two of Henry VIII’s wives stayed at the house.
Bleddyn Court offers a number of possibilities for the newly weds, for a start they can utilise the Crystal Suite, a luxuriously decorated room with a crystal chandelier at its centre. This can comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests, while the smaller Morgan Suite with its large open fireplace is ideal for more intimate gatherings, with capacity for 20 people.
Packages can be arranged where guests also have full use of the hotel’s leisure and spa facilities. These feature a swimming pool, sauna, spa and steam rooms, as well as tennis courts and a gym to get you in shape. Guests staying the whole weekend will have a number of local tourist sites and places of interest to visit and keep them entertained, with Raglan Castle, Caerleon and Usk able to amuse and provide additional accommodation should you require it.
Cwrt Bleddyn is situated off the M4 motorway north of Newport and about 4 miles outside of Caerleon from the south or if you travel from the north down the A449 on the other side of Usk. For rail travellers, the main London Paddington and Midlands lines all meet at Newport Central, just six miles from the hotel. They also have their own helicopter pad if required.
