Grand Canyon National Park is located in Arizona and is one of the United States’ national parks from the past. The park has an average width of 10 miles across and is 5,000 feet deep. Inside the park is where the Grand Canyon lies. The Grand Canyon is a gorge of the Colorado River that is considered the most wonderful natural wonder in Arizona. The Grand Canyon is believed to be one of the main natural wonders of the world.
The Grand Canyon, including its widespread system of contributory canyons, is treasured for the combination of depth, large size, and exposed layering of colourful rocks that date back to Precambrian times. The Grand Canyon was formed through the Colorado River’s incision and its tributaries after the Colorado Plateau arose and the Colorado River system developed on its present path.
A large number of visitors that goes to the park get to the South Rim and arrive on Arizona Highway 64. This highway enters the park at the South Entrance near Tusayan, Arizona, and runs eastward, leaving the park through the East Entrance. All of the park’s accommodations are operated by the Xanterra Corporation. Some thirty miles of the South Rim are reachable by road.
A smaller venue for visitors is found on the North Rim, which is accessed through Arizona Highway 67. However, there is no road connection between the two rims within Arizona except by the Navajo Bridge, near Page, Arizona, which entails a five-hour drive. Nevertheless, the two rims of the Canyon are connected through the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas, Nevada.
