The Hawkwell House Hotel is set in three acres of landscaped gardens in the village of Iffley, just two miles from Oxford city centre. The hotel offers 66 rooms, each with flat screen TV and broadband Internet access; they range from standard doubles to family rooms. The hotel has mature landscaped gardens with a croquet lawn and a terrace for relaxing.
The Arezzo Restaurant has been awarded an AA rosette and has a menu of modern European fare with an emphasis on Italian cuisine. Couples planning a wedding can attend a menu tasting prior to the day to help them select the perfect menu from the wide choice of dishes available. Evening reception options range from the traditional buffet, to a barbecue, to a hog roast.
The hotel will host only one wedding per day to ensure couples have the full attention of the wedding planners. There are several rooms to choose from for the ceremony and the wedding breakfast, with an alfresco ceremony also an option. For seated wedding breakfasts the hotel can accommodate 130 people and for evening reception can host events for up to 200 people.
Several wedding packages are available and the planners can assist with arranging entertainment, photographers and other external wedding services. Included in the packages are items such as table linen, chair covers and reduced accommodation rates for guests. The hotel will also provide a separate playroom for children, where possible.
