Honeymoon in Vegas

Described as a witty, clever, original and somewhat quirky film, ‘Honeymoon in Vegas’ is entertaining, filled with strange characters and has an offbeat rhythm. While it may not make viewers laugh out loud, most people will walk away feeling happily entertained.
‘Honeymoon in Vegas’ is still garnering much support with claims that it gets better with age. While it has a dark edge, it nevertheless manages to present a story that is funny, bizarre and full of comic conceits. Films such as ‘Indecent Proposal’ tried to achieve the same popularity, but failed to garner much support.

Jack, played by Nicholas Cage, is full of guilt at failing to promise his dying mother that he will choose a wife who will love him as much as she did. Additionally, he is terrified of marriage. To top it all off, he is a private investigator who tracks down cheating spouses.
Nevertheless, Jack loves Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Betsy, who is supportive of Jack and compassionate about his fears. Nevertheless, Betsy’s patience is running short, so they set off for a romantic weekend in Vegas.
Filmed on location, Vegas lives up to its reputation of glamour, lights and Elvis impersonators, just as anyone would imagine.
From here on the love story becomes complicated and Jack loses an important poker hand for which he exchanges Betsy, for one night, to pay his debts.

The movie sinks into deeper deceptions and is supported by a soundtrack that includes a range of Elvis and other 90’s artists songs.
Audiences walk away with a feeling that got their money’s worth of entertainment.
