How About You,

This is a movie that shows that having fun is not something that stops when people get older. I loved this film. It’s the story of a woman whose older sister runs a retirement home deep in the Irish countryside. The sister has some plans for the holidays one year and asks her younger sister for a favour. Would she be willing to run the retirement facility for a couple of weeks, Thinking it will be a piece of cake, the younger sister agrees, and that’s when the fun starts.

Four mischievous residents decide to take advantage of the younger sister’s inexperience to have some fun and basically turn the joint upside down. The results are hilarious. But the story is touching as the younger sister gains a whole new awareness of the elderly and a compassion for their challenges. And as she learns how to grasp the reins of authority in this new role into which she has been thrust, the residents too learn things not just about their new administrator, but also about themselves as well. They learn how to come to terms with the challenges they face in life. They learn that even the biggest of troubles can seem small when they are faced with a smile and with a light-hearted, carefree attitude.

I enjoyed this movie because it had a lot to say about relationships and how important they are to enriching our lives.

I give a double thumbs up to this movie.
