Ideas for a beach wedding

These days many couples opt for a beach wedding somewhere hot and exotic. This is a naturally romantic setting for your wedding ceremony. Choosing to get married on the beach does not necessarily mean a simple ceremony and no fuss. There are many things you can do to make your wedding a memorable occasion. By having a beach wedding theme you can make it extra special for your guests.
Start as you mean to go on. Once you have selected your invites add a little sand into each invitation you are sending. You could go one step further and design your invitation as a postcard. If you will be expecting many guests then seating will be required. Decorating the chairs can add a special beach touch to the whole wedding. Use garlands of shells or coral between chairs. A simple gazebo or palm leaf canopy for your guests to sit under will add a special touch. Choosing a simple white material over a frame adds appeal.
A beach wedding does not mean you have to dress in white. To keep with your theme, wear colours that resemble shades of the ocean: blues and greens and aquamarine as well as beige and cream. Select a fabric for your dress that will not be too hot and choose a strapless or thin strapped gown. If you want something different from traditional dresses then kaftans are popular – a loose fitting dress with long flowing sleeves is ideal for a beach wedding.
