The Inn on the Lake is situated on Lake Ullswater in 15 acres of gardens and parkland. The three-star hotel has 47 rooms, many with views of the countryside or the lake. The rooms range from standard to four-poster beds and all are equipped with satellite TV. The leisure facilities on-site include a croquet lawn, gym and jacuzzi.
The hotel’s restaurant uses fresh local produce for the dishes on its daily changing menu and for weddings and other functions there are a range of dishes available for flexible menus. For an alternative to a formal meal a barbecue is an alternative option.
Two suites are available for hosting a wedding ceremony with the maximum number of guests at 100. Evening receptions can be held in the public bar for up to 80 people or a marquee in the grounds can accommodate up to 140. There are special rates for weddings held out of season or on certain days.
Drinks packages to cover arrival drinks, wine with the meal and champagne for the toast are available and a drinks reception prior to the meal can be held on the terrace or the lawns, depending on the weather. The hotel is able to arrange gifts from the bride and groom to their guests and has a range of honeymoon packages. A directory of recommended external wedding services can be provided if required.
