The Elvetham is a nineteenth century mansion set in 35 acres of parkland and gardens. The hotel boasts a total of 70 rooms, some in the main house with period features and traditional décor and some in the Court building of a more contemporary design. All rooms are equipped with LCD TV with Sky, wireless internet access and room service. Facilities are available for the mobility impaired.
The grounds offer many opportunities for leisure and include a croquet lawn, tennis court, golf club and boules. There is also a fitness suite with a gym and sauna.
For those planning a wedding, the hotel can accommodate ceremonies for up to 200 guests and there is a choice of function rooms available. Receptions for up to 350 are possible with the addition of a marquee in the gardens. Couples can theme their function suite to their own taste and will be assisted by the hotel’s dedicated wedding co-ordinator.
The Elvetham offers wedding packages that include items such as a red carpet, exclusive use of the hotel, personalised place cards and menus, a dance floor, toastmaster and wedding night accommodation for the bride and groom. Complimentary features of the wedding service provided by the hotel include champagne for the bride and groom, menu tasting session prior to the day and accommodation for the parents of the bride and groom. Staff is also able to assist with arranging any untraditional details, such as arrivals and departures by helicopter.
