The Normanton Park Hotel is set in five acres of grounds next to Rutland Water close to the town of Oakham. The three star hotel is part of the Best Western hotel group and offers 30 rooms ranging from a standard double to family rooms and the bridal suite. All rooms are equipped with a TV and wireless broadband internet access and some rooms have views of the lake.
The hotel has two restaurants and they serve a variety of traditional dishes. Catering for wedding breakfasts and other functions ranges from buffets to barbecues and from hog roasts to formal banquets. Menus for events are tailored to individual requirements with vegetarian options and children’s menus available. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
The hotel can host a wedding ceremony for up to 120 guests. Wedding breakfasts and evening receptions also cater for the same number of people. A marquee can be erected in the grounds overlooking the lake for larger celebrations and exclusive use of the hotel and facilities can be arranged for a 24 hour period if required. Minimum numbers of guests will apply at certain times of the year.
The hotel has an experienced wedding co-ordinator who is on hand to organise many of the details of the day and guests can take advantage of reduced accommodation rates. The grounds and the lake provide an ideal backdrop for the wedding photographs.
