The Oaklands Country House Hotel is a nineteenth century building set in five acres of parkland, close to the village of Laceby, near Grimsby. It offers 45 en-suite rooms, all with satellite TV and free broadband access. The hotel’s Victorian feature rooms have four-poster beds and there are facilities for anyone with impaired mobility.
The Garden Restaurant is air-conditioned and serves a menu of traditional English dishes. For those planning a wedding or other event, the flexible banqueting menus mean that anyone with special dietary requirements can be easily catered for. Couples can choose a set menu or compile their own from the range of dishes available.
The Oaklands has its own wedding co-ordinator, who can arrange many aspects of the day. The hotel can deal with the floral arrangements, from the table decorations to the buttonholes and bouquets. Evening entertainment can also be organised by the helpful staff.
There are three suites to choose from for the civil ceremony and they can accommodate up to 120 guests. A total of four suites are available for wedding breakfasts of up to 150 guests and evening receptions for up to 250.
Wedding packages are available, which include items such as changing facilities, table linen, toastmaster, complimentary honeymoon suite for the bride and groom, reduced rates for guest accommodation and a first anniversary lunch for two. For those wishing to arrive or depart in style, the hotel has a helicopter-landing pad.
