You can also save money on the reception by making wedding decorations or buying your own decorations, rather than paying for the venue to be decorated for you. Ask friends and family to all help make decorations or accessories such as name cards, wedding invites etc.
Remember you are (hopefully!) only doing this once, so make sure you make the right decisions and choices before spending any money, as this will ensure you avoid unnecessary expensive mistakes.
