One of the ways you could earn extra money whist still at school could be to start your own small business. You may think there is no way in the world a teenager can start a business, but that isn’t true. There is no reason in the world why you cannot start being business-thinking from an early age; some of the richest people in the world started this way.
You can start a small business as long as you don’t allow the work to interfere in any way with your schoolwork, and that you make sure the school is informed of what you are doing. Keep your working hours reasonable, straight after school or during the day on Saturday or Sunday, and don’t take on more than you can genuinely cope with.
You will need to think of an idea to start your own business. Consider finding something that many adults find time consuming and irritating, as then there is a good chance they will be happy to pay for someone else to do it for them. Keep records of what you earn, it isn’t going to be a huge amount but it will help you see how much good you are doing for yourself. Who knows, if this business works well and you can keep it going all the way through school then you may be able to launch it as a full grown full-time business once you have left school.
