The History of Dating Sites

Dating has changed rapidly since its initiation. At first it consisted of date proposals and fathers making arrangements with the other fathers about whom their daughters would marry. However in recent times unlike the past three decades, it became more of a process; through these processes daters hand- choose people who they think are single. As of today, the grouping of these generational conversions has resulted in a type of service that suits all types of daters, which is now called the internet dating service.

The first text-oriented groups in which people could share thoughts and ideas was called Netnews or Usenet and nowadays was Google News. After this a new newsgroup came, which was alt.romance. This group was devoted to initiate people on the way to romance and getting to know each other, and some people think that this was the beginning of what is commonly known as Internet dating today.

In 1995, the first online dating service was created, which is now called the http://www.Match.com. Since 2002, it has had 26.6 million recorded members. When it started, its services were very simple and only matched people based on profiles of likes and dislikes. These days, numerous dating services have evolved, many which have particular requirements for registration. In some places thousands of Internet Dating services developed and all of them have only one purpose, which is to give people in the world the freedom and the choice to date who they want and when they want.
