A former seventeenth century rectory, the Priory Hotel is set in three acres of grounds just outside the historic city of Hereford. A family run hotel, it offers eight rooms which range from double rooms to superior rooms. All rooms are simply decorated and equipped with TVs. Two of the rooms have four poster beds and all rooms are en-suite. Much of the hotel’s décor remained faithful to the original traditional style and was awarded a three star Country House Hotel rating.
The Hathaway restaurant uses fresh local produce to create the dishes on its menu. For those planning a wedding, traditional English dishes are the focus of the wedding breakfast menu, with several choices for the evening reception ranging from a buffet to a barbecue.
The hotel has an in-house wedding co-ordinator to guide couples through the whole process and packages can be tailored to suit individual requirements. Exclusive use of the hotel is available and the exclusive package includes items such as champagne in the bridal suite, the resident DJ for entertainment for the evening reception, use of all public areas, hire of all bedrooms and a full English breakfast the next day. The package does not include the wedding breakfast or drinks which is calculated separately.
Ceremonies can be hosted for up to 50 guests in the Cooper Key suite and up to 40 in the Hathaway suite but larger parties can be accommodated by removing the interconnecting doors to make one large room. The same can be done for the wedding breakfast.
