Kids love action movies just as much as adults, but not all action flicks are appropriate for children. Here are the top ten action movies for children.
10. Star Wars
It’s cool, there’s flying space ships, lots of action figures and toys plus everyone knows the famous line “Luke, I am your father” as they practice saying it into a running fan to change their voice.
9. Kung Fu Panda
It’s silly and fun but it teaches kids they don’t have to be pretend to be someone else and they already have everything they need. They just have to figure out how to use their special powers.
8. X-Men
Based on the comic book, all kids know the stories and characters so they of course want to watch the movie. But the movie is surprising because it has so many great special effects.
7. The Goonies
A group of kids who encounter “real” monsters and have to get out of the house without leaving anyone behind. A good movie about friendship and the journeys all kids take.
6. Spy Kids
Cool special effects, kids doing stunts and some crazy tech gear.
5. Lord of the Rings
After they’ve read the books they’ll want to see the movies and try to mimic the small creatures.
4. Pirates of the Caribbean
There is some violence and adult humour but this is still a great action film for kids because it’s fun and based on the Disney ride.
3. Spider-Man
Every little boy wants to dress up like Spider-man and climb walls. Enough said.
2. The Incredibles
An animated film that’s both funny and has some great action scenes in it. The best part for parents is the film instils a lot of good values at the same time.
