The current decade has produced a lot of great films, many of those action movies. Here are the top ten.
10. The Last Samurai
Stunningly beautiful scenery and some great battle scenes and warrior training sequences.
9. Kill Bill Vol. 2
Uma Thurman kicks ass in this film and the scene where she fights the hundred or so warriors then chops off Lucy Liu’s head is incredible.
8. The Incredibles
It’s a family film and still one of the best action movies ever because it’s fun, fast paced and funny.
7. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Aerial martial arts stunts are downright amazing and I wish I could do stuff like that. The rest of the world learned a lot from this movie.
6. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Harrison Ford still has it and he’s better than ever. The stunts and action in this movie are great and it’s an adventure everyone wants to take.
5. Collateral
A dark look at a cab driver’s bad night when he picks up a sinister looking Tom Cruise. Clean, crisp and undeniable great acting chops in this film.
4. The Bourne Ultimatum
Superior car chases and getaways. Matt Damon proved himself in this movie.
3. Spider-Man 2
The guy in a red suit returns and must continue to protect the city while in the middle of a plethora of special effects, stunts and amazing graphics.
2. The Dark Knight
The best Batman film ever and by far the darkest look at Gotham City. It was explosive and tragic at the same time.
1. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Glory filled skies, stunning world and new realities arise in this film filled with wonder, excitement and struggles.
