Boy that guy can run. Okay movie, but Mel was just great in it.
9. Mad Max
Not the best movie ever made, but it was a cult classic and Mel gets pretty damn angry.

A great look at the first American battle during the Vietnam War and those who fought on both sides – worth checking out for Mel’s performance.
7. Payback
Ruthless and on a mission, that makes for a reckless combination.
6. Air America
Corruption, Scandal, Comedy, This is one of the best action comedies ever.
5. Lethal Weapon 4
They’re back! The boys are funny as ever and just as quick on their feet as in their younger days.
4. Ransom
Completely reckless. He throws all caution to the wind and will do anything to get his son back as well as take care of the men who took him.
3. The Patriot
Patriotic and touching. Great performances all around, but Mel really stands out in this one.
2. Lethal Weapon
He’s funny, charming and got a gun. He is also a little bit crazy which, at least for movie fans is a good thing.
1. Braveheart
Strong, powerful, and commanding. He’s the perfect leader and gives it everything he’s got. A soulful, thoughtful performance and a movie with action to spare.
